Some people think that introducing new technology can improve people’s quality of life in developing countries. However, others believe that free education should be offered. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
The solutions towards life quality in poor countries still remain a source of controversy. While I accept that new technologies might offer a significant change for them, I still argue that only education could deal with the problem at its root.
On the one hand, it is apparent that advanced technologies can transform these developing countries in a variety of life aspects. At the first place, health care quality can be advanced due to the application of leading technologies. Disease prescriptions become more convenient and precise due to advanced techniques, which help discover early symptoms of fatal diseases like cancer. Furthermore, businesses can boost the economy due to the application of innovative technologies. Automatic machines might be a more effective and economical alternative of blue collar workers, therefore, enhance productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
On the other hand, I advocate that only investment in education can be a long-term remedy for poor nations. Firstly, education assures stable development of a country. Investment in this field assists underprivileged children to approach education. In other words, only when they gain necessary knowledge and skills can these young generations contribute to their nation’s transformation. Otherwise, people can only control and utilize new technologies when they possess deep understanding in this field. Lack of education can be a deterrent for people in the process of applying these leading technologies. Furthermore, modern technologies might become obsolete sometime, but through education, poor nations’ residents are proficient to reform their countries.
In conclusion, although new technologies can improve poor nations’ life quality for short term, these countries should realize that education is their actual solution in the long run.
