Describe your family? Do you have strict parents?
There are 4 people in my nuclear family, I have an elder brother, my parents left their hometown for working so we live far away from my relatives.
I do not think that I have strict parents. If I do something wrong, my parents will talk to me and we will exchange their think and they will try to undertand me along with analysing and explaining and giving to me helpful advices. We always share everything in life to each other and they always support me to follow my interest.
Do you live with your family? How much time do you spend with your family? Do you get along well with your family? When was the last time you met your extended family? What as the occasion?
Currently, I do not live with my family because my family live in Nha Trang city and I go to Ha noi capital to study University. But every evening I always call for my parents and we talk to each other by video call. We usually chat for 1 hour or even more, we talk about every things happen thoughout last all day. I think that my family always gets along well with each other because we usually share everythings together and we always try to understand each other. Another hand, my family members have a lot of common things, such as : both of I and my mother are interested in singing karaoke, so when I am home, we frequently sing karaoke together. Otherwise, I and my brother are truly like action science – fiction film, so we will go to the cinema when there is new blockbuster film released. With my father, I always want to ask for advices and he is also very patient to listen and share anything to me.
Last february, my family went to our hometown to welcome Tet holiday with all my relatives, so that was the last time I met my extended family. That was really really happy duration of holiday to me.
Are people in your country generally close to their families?
In my country, people usually have strong relationship with their family, this is a part of Asian culture in general and in particular with Vietnamese. Parents still take care of their children untill they grow up and graduate from university, even when they have their own family and live independently. On the other hand, children will look after their parents when they get old. So I think that people in my country genrrally close to their families.
