1. Do you think people pay much attention for their health these days?
It seems to me that individuals nowadays do not pay attention for their health as much as in the past. On the one hand, modern live keeps people busy with job and family problems so that they do not have enough time to take care of themselves. Otherwise, a significant number of citizens just take their health for granted. They eat fast food for its convenience despite detrimental effects, and lazy with doing exercises. People do not realize the importance of living healthy until they get sick, which can cause serious consequences if they do not stop this harmful routine.
2. Do you think there are more unhealthy people these days than there were decades ago?
In my opinion, the number of unhealthy people is increasing these days than in the past. It seems to me that the reasons mostly come from modern lifestyle. On the one hand, modern live keeps people busy with job and family problems so that they do not have enough time to take care of themselves. 3. How could parents encourage their children to be healthier?
I guess this task is quite challenging because most of children are likely to fall into unhealthy things such as junk food or video game. However, I think parents can come up with some solutions for this problem. On the one hand, children like copying what adults do, so if parents can become model for their kids to follow, children’s behavior can be changed. On the other hand, good routine should be built in the early stage of a child’s life, so parents should guide their children to live healthily as early as pos sible. Then when they grow up, it’s not difficult to remain a healthy live anymore.
4. Describe an outdoor activity you have.
I am quite an active girl who would like to try as many things, especially outdoor activities, so I used to take part in a cycling activity for environment.
It was in the middle of last year when I read a poster about an environment activity with cycling around the city. The location was quite near to where I live, so I decided to attend this activity with my friend. When we came to the destination that morning, group’s members were dressed in green and were discussing about the schedule. My friend and I were given green uniform like them and after talking with each other, we became closer to the group.
After all members gathered, the leader told us about the upcoming schedule and assigned each person a green bike with a green flag attached behind. We started cycling with them and went through the major parts of the whole city. Cycling for the whole 1-2 hours was not an easy task and yet we enjoyed it and were close to the group whole time. After few hours we came back to the place where we started and I found that I was totally absorbed and exhausted.
The team leader congratulated us because it was our first day and we did well. The team gave us a membership card and told that they do it twice in a month. Though we had plans for joining them again, but we could not do so. I found the whole idea of cycling very interesting and a good chance to meet new people. I felt well that we actually did it and the feeling of travelling the whole city riding a bicycle was thrilling.
I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone capable as it would be a good activity as well as a chance to know different people who have some common interests.
