5. Describe something you maintain to keep a good health.
I am not a person who is crazy about keeping fit, but I think doing some exercises every day helps a lot in maintaining a good health. That’s why I often play badminton with my mother in the city park every morning.
Every day I wake up at 5am. After doing some personal hygiene, I go jogging with my mother on the way leading to the city park. Although it’s still early in the morning but a large number of people is stretching before doing exercise. My mother and I choose a small corner near the center lake and after some warm-up moves, we begin to play badminton. This sport is quite easy to play because it does not require any special skills. The racket and net used to play are not costly so we can afford them. We usually play 4 to 5 sets before my mother gets exhausted and want a break. Because we have played there for a long time, my mother makes lots of new friends, most of them are middle-aged women. Sometimes we play in team with my mother and I are a couple. Surprisingly, in most of the time we are the winners.
The sport game finishes at 7am since both of us have to go home and prepare breakfast for the whole family. We say goodbye to other people and promise to be back the day after.
I can tell that since I played badminton one year ago, my health has been improved a lot. I can run 100 meters without breathing hard or feeling exhausted. I think each of us should have one type of sport to play, not only to improve our health but also to relax after a hard-working day.
6. Describe a healthy food item you eat.
Well, I would like to talk about one of my favorite dish that I often have for dinner instead of rice, which is salad. In fact this food is quite a common healthy item especially to women who want to keep fit.
The way to prepare salad is very simple. Salad is a combination of various types of vegetables and tasty sauce. Firstly vegetable must be washed carefully, and I often use salt water for this step just to make sure it will be safe to eat. People can choose the type of vegetables they like but normally they are cabbage, carrot, cucumber, tomato or some herb. The sauce used is also up to individual preference. It can be ketchup or mayonnaise sauce, but for me I prefer dressing roasted sesame for its light flavor. Vegetables are cut into small pieces or sliced, after that it’s ready to eat after adding some sauce. My mother often helps me buy ingredients because she goes to the market every morning. I eat salad for every dinner instead of rice.
Although this dish is very simple, its benefits are undeniable. As I’m a little overweigh, so I want something fresh, light and healthy for my dinner. At first I’m quite reluctant since this disk appears to be tasteless to me. However, it turns out to be more delicious than I think, and this disk really works because I have lost 2 kilograms since I used this diet. I feel more confident when going out or try a new dress. I guess I will go on with this disk until I get a slimmer body.
