Students leave high school without learning the way how to manage their money. What are the reasons and solutions of this issue?
We have to learn a plenty of subjects in high school, most of high schools just focus on teaching theoretical subjects and most of students just focus on theoretical important subjects that help them to apply to university. They do not care about practical subjects while this subjects help them more in their future such as money management. So that, almost students leave high school without learning the way how to manage their money.
I believe that money management is very important with people at any ages, we can not have advanced live if we do not know how to manage our own money. In my opinion, high school students need to know how to manage money but there are many reasons that related to problem of students who leave high school without studying money management. Initially, finance is an important in lives of everyone but when we are in high school, our main aim is to pass the entry exam university, and our parents also want us to focus on important theoretical subjects. Moreover, parents do not want their children to worry about money problems and they believe that their children can be able to learn when they go to work or older. This leads to many students face to crisis money management when they start to live independently. Students usually spend too much money for unnecessary things instead of necessary things.
I think we need to be taught about managing money in high school, because high school students are mature enough to understand value of money and how hard to earn money. Firstly, parents and students need to know the important role of soft skill and managing money is one of them and encourage their children to learn managing their money. Secondly, school should add money management subject in syllabus. Thirdly, the exam should mention practical problems rather than just theory.
In conclusion, money management is very important to daily life, especially with young people, so that, high school students should be taught about money management.
